My New Favourite Cleanser | prettylittlewriter

When it comes to skincare, you want the best for your skin without really thinking about the price tag. Obviously if you're on a budget, much like myself, it's hard to find something under £20 that can give you that clean, fresh finish you need after removing your make up.
I have found that most of the time, those that you purchase under £20 don't remove waterproof mascara or matte lipstick very well (with the exception of my fav Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish).

However,
I have discovered the wonders of the Loreal Paris Extraordinary Facial Cleansing Oil
I was browsing the shelves of Superdrug, looking for something affordable, and something I haven't really tried before, from a brand I don't often use.
Which is when I came across this little beauty.
It boasts about 'instantly dissolving all make up, revealing nourished and radiant skin with a non-greasy finish'.
This is no lie.
Whenever I apply this product to my skin to remove my make up, it slides on so effortlessly, blending your make up into the oil instantly showing you the removal process. As soon as it touches a matte lip, the lipstick ends up entirely in the oil, and no longer on your lip!
Using a hot, moist face cloth, you remove the oil from your skin to a beautifully cleansed, bare face which feels incredibly soft and smooth. No grease is left on the skin at all, and it genuinely removes every single bit of your make up.
I always apply my cleanser twice, to ensure complete removal of those tough mascaras, but this product genuinely does exactly what it says on the packaging.

I also love the bottle it comes in, a nice easy pump allowing as little as one pump to clear your skin! I usually use two/three to be on the safe side!
I have nothing but good things to say about this product, I absolutely love it. And at the price of £7.99, you just can't go wrong!

If you like the sound of the Loreal Extraordinary Cleansing Oil, head on over to Superdrug where it is currently on offer at just £5.29!

Do any of my followers have an affordable skincare recommendation? I'd love to hear from you!

Liz Earle's 'The Winter Icon' | prettylittlewriter

Liz Earle are well known for their incredible Cleanse & Polish, and each year, without fail, they introduce the most amazing Christmas scent as limited edition.
This year they have given us 'Sweet Orange & Clove', which is a deliciously sweet citrus and spice scent.

The scent is soft and subtle, not overpowering, which can sometimes happen with festive fragrances. Fresh and fruity, with just a hint of spice to create the ultimate Christmas scent.

It works just like the original hot cloth cleanser, leaving your skin feeling super soft after removing your make up. The only difference here is that your face is left smelling almost good enough to eat! I worship the Cleanse and Polish, but when they add in a festive fragrance I immediately love it more!

It also comes in this incredibly stunning set with two of their classic muslin cloths, so it would make the perfect gift for any skincare lover.
For £22.75 and free delivery, the 'Winter Icon' is definitely worth the purchase!

What are your thoughts on this year's scent?

Review | Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm | prettylittlewriter

I have seen the popularity of this product through many Youtubers and Bloggers, such as Tanya Burr and Zoella, so I thought I'd try it out for myself, and I am certainly not disappointed!

The texture is very silky and soft, almost like applying some sort of beeswax over your skin. AND THE SMELL. IT IS LIKE HEAVEN IN A TUB.
The ingredients listed are Orange, Neroli and Mandarin extracts, however I personally seem to be able to smell a honey scent. I actually really look forward to applying this stuff just for the smell!

After application, it leaves your skin feeling super soft and clean (not oily like you might think for such a waxy texture on application), and it removes your make up easily, even if you've got stubborn mascara!
I usually apply a pea-sized amount to both cheeks and then spread it around my face, applying twice when I've had make up on just to ensure it removes all traces.

The price is quite hefty for a cleanser at £38, however I truly think it is worth paying because what you are getting is a brilliant product.

Review | dermalogica ultracalming cleanser | prettylittlewriter

A cleanser like no other.
Have ultra-sensitive skin that triggers a reaction from most cleansing products? But you still need something to help fight those spot breakouts and other blemishes?
You need dermalogica's ultracalming cleanser.

This product is ph-balanced, with a non-foaming consistency that helps calm and cool any redness of the skin and heat associated with reactive and over-sensitive skin.
You simply apply in upward, circular motions to your face, eyelids and neck and either rinse off or wipe off with a soft cloth.

I have been using this cleanser for about 3 months now, and although I still get the occasional breakout of spots (which I blame on junk food!), I never have red-looking skin and other cosmetics products don't cause my skin to react like it used to before having used this product.

This cleanser retails between £26 to £28, and is available from these websites;

I would give this product a 9/10 rating, simply for the price tag, but the product is worth paying extra for!

Do you have any favourite cleansers? Or have you yourself tried out this product? I would love to hear from you :)

Review | Liz Earle Limited Edition Hot Cloth Cleanser | prettylittlewriter

As a little Christmas treat for myself this month I decided to purchase the Limited Edition Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser in Sweet Orange and Mint.

As a huge fan of the original Hot Cloth Cleanser, the sweet orange and mint fragrance intrigued me as I love any sweet scent, especially those that are of the citrus variety.

This product certainly didn't disappoint! As with the original hot cloth cleanser, it cleanses your skin well and leaves it feeling super soft and smooth and the citrus scent lingers on your skin so you also smell super fresh!

I would definitely recommend this product as a gift for someone, whether it be for a family member, friend or even yourself as a little treat.
I mean, who can deny a person of such an amazing product, just look at that gorgeous packaging!

You can purchase this item here, and with the product being limited edition I would purchase it very soon if you want it as it may have disappeared by Christmas!
