Florida Vlog | prettylittlewriter

I finally found the time to edit and upload my Florida vlog and I thought I'd share it with you all!
Hope you enjoy it and please share any comments/thoughts you have, I love to hear from everyone :)

Watching all the clips whilst editing this video made me really appreciate the fact that I have actually been to one of the most magical places in the world one more time. I absolutely adore Disneyworld and I cannot believe that it's all over with once again, and I'm back to my normal life again :(

October Wishlist | prettylittlewriter

Autumn is now upon us, and as a huge fan of this time of year, I wanted to share with you some of the items I will be purchasing for the colder months!

These first three items are available from ASOS

The first is a really cute pink fawn crop jumper. Fawns always remind me of the wintery months and Christmas, and I think it is adorable!
Next is a navy tartan scarf; I already have it's sister which is a bright red tartan, but I'd like this one too for a more subtle outfit.
The third is actually a Christmas jumper. They have it in navy here, however I think this red berry colour is much nicer for winter months and I love that it has it's own collar!

Now I'm sure by now you've noticed a theme (tartan anyone?), so yes I have a slight obsession with the Scottish favourite. The first item is from Ark, and with it being a dark tartan pattern it would go with plenty of things, such as the black blazer in the middle!
The blazer is from River Island, and I also already have the same one in grey, however this is easier to match to other items of clothing, the grey one only looks good with certain colours.
The third item here is also from River Island, a pair of navy tartan cigarette pants. These would also look great with the black blazer and a plain baggy t shirt.

And finally, something non-fashion related...

CANDLES.

Now I love candles enough as it is, but when it comes to Christmas time and the colder months, candles just help set the mood and create such a cosy atmosphere!
I always go for the Medium Jar with Yankee Candle, as I think the small jars are just too small and I find it difficult finding somewhere to put the large jars!

Now three of them are Christmas candles, Christmas Cookie, Snowflake Cookie and Christmas Eve, and they are all very sweet scented.

However I have also picked out a Halloween candle, Ghostly Treats. The scent is described as gooey toasted marshmallows that are a haunting reminder of sharing spooky tales around a Halloween bonfire.

Now Christmas Cookie is described as buttery rich, vanilla scented, holiday sugar cookies. To a lot of people that could be too sweet, but I much prefer sweet scents to the musky kind.

Snowflake Cookie is described as holiday cookies, deliciously decorated with sugary pink icing. It doesn't give an actual description of what it smells like, and I've yet to find out myself, but as it is a new addition to the Christmas collection, I have to try it!

Christmas Eve is described as Traditional Christmas scents of a warm hearth, sugared plums, and candied fruits. This I have experienced and I have to say it is absolutely lovely. Such a cosy and warm scent.

Are there any Autumn purchases you are hoping to make or have already made? :)

New Mac purchases | prettylittlewriter

Over the past couple of weeks or so I've gathered a few new Mac products either via Duty Free at the Airport or ordering online after my recent student loan came through! So I thought I'd give you a little review on what I think about them.

I've purchased three new lipstick shades, Rebel, Good Kisser and Ruby Woo. Good Kisser is from the Limited Edition A Novel Romance Collection. Unfortunately most of the lipsticks are sold out online and in store, however the Duty Free Mac Stall at Manchester Airport had Good Kisser still available so I grabbed it straight away!

Rebel

Good Kisser

Ruby Woo

As you can see, each of these shades are well pigmented. Rebel being a satin finish, it adds some shine to your lips and Ruby Woo and Good Kisser are both matte shades.
Rebel is a great shade for autumn/winter, with it's dark plum colouring and Ruby Woo is deep red shade which would look lovely for autumn/winter make up.
Good Kisser is a bright pink shade which adds a bit of pop! to any look and is perhaps more of a summer shade.

One thing I will say is Ruby Woo is quite stiff when applying it to your lips; compared to the other two the application is a lot harder and it doesn't just slide on gracefully.

I think my favourite shades out of these are Good Kisser and Ruby Woo.

Moving on to eyeshadow, I purchased the shade Woodwinked.

This shade is described as a warm antiqued gold and highly pigmented. As you can see, it gives a lovely shimmer to your lids and is a bronze/gold shade.

And last but not least, I finally caved and bought the Studio Sculpt Foundation is NW20.

As you can see, the shade is a little dark for my skin tone, however, once blended into my skin it is a great colour and isn't too dark for me. I am also wearing the foundation in the above pictures of me.

So those are my most recent Mac purchases, and there's no doubt in my mind that I will be purchasing many more of their products as I absolutely love them!

Are there any Mac products that you recently purchased that you love?

Florida 2014 Part 2 | prettylittlewriter

Today's blog post is my final favourite few pictures from my holiday to Orlando Florida!
Hope you enjoy! :)

Seaworld

I just want to say that I do not in any way support the treatment of the Orcas (Killer Whales) at Seaworld, their tanks are much too small and they should not perform like they do, however I watched the performance as I wanted to see these beautiful creatures in person.

Magic Kingdom

So that's the end of my holiday pictures! I hope you've enjoyed seeing them and it inspires you to go and watch a Disney film! :)

Apologies for being MIA for so long, as some of you may know (either from reading my blog or knowing me IRL) I have been on holiday to the Sunshine State of Florida!
During my time there I visited various places, such as Disney's Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios and Seaworld!

I thought I'd give you a little glimpse into my holiday through some of my favourite pictures! I will be posting more another time, otherwise this blog post is going to be ENORMOUS!
