Review | Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm | prettylittlewriter

I have seen the popularity of this product through many Youtubers and Bloggers, such as Tanya Burr and Zoella, so I thought I'd try it out for myself, and I am certainly not disappointed!

The texture is very silky and soft, almost like applying some sort of beeswax over your skin. AND THE SMELL. IT IS LIKE HEAVEN IN A TUB.
The ingredients listed are Orange, Neroli and Mandarin extracts, however I personally seem to be able to smell a honey scent. I actually really look forward to applying this stuff just for the smell!

After application, it leaves your skin feeling super soft and clean (not oily like you might think for such a waxy texture on application), and it removes your make up easily, even if you've got stubborn mascara!
I usually apply a pea-sized amount to both cheeks and then spread it around my face, applying twice when I've had make up on just to ensure it removes all traces.

The price is quite hefty for a cleanser at £38, however I truly think it is worth paying because what you are getting is a brilliant product.

Lush Customer Care | prettylittlewriter

Now, those of you that know me well, or are a regular reader of my blog (I thank you kindly if you are), you will know how much I love Lush products.

Recently though, I've had a couple of instances where I was a little less than impressed with a product I received.

The product in question is the Immaculate Eggception Bath Bomb in Yellow. In the first instance, I'd ordered quite a few of the Easter products from the website, and upon receiving them, the Immaculate Eggception bomb was broken into pieces.

The second instance with the same product was after being sent a replacement; I placed the bomb into my bath water and it terribly stained not only my bathtub, but my skin too.
I had to thoroughly scrub my skin with a body brush to get the yellow patches of dye off of me, and then scrub the bathtub with bleach to remove those stains.

In both these instances however, I have received such amazing and helpful customer service from the Lush customer care team.
With the broken bath bomb I received, I emailed the care team an image of the product and asked what they could do for me. They very kindly suggested a replacement be sent or a refund for that specific product. I chose the replacement as I really wanted to use the item.
Again, with the second instance of my stained skin, I took a picture of my skin before scrubbing the dye off to send to their care team via email, informing them of my turmoil.
They got back to me the next day apologising for the problem occurring and I helped them out by sending them my order details and giving them a description of what happened. They informed me that with each batch, they mix the products with fresh ingredients, therefore the dye used in this bath bomb may not have been fully established correctly.

In a very generous and heart-warming gesture, they offered to send me some products that would help me if this instance ever occurred again, with some others that are great for sensitive skin.

The following images are the items they sent me.

I thought this was a very courteous thing for them to do, and I cannot fault them in any way for their incredible customer service. They really do care for their customers, and are willing to help you out in any way they can.

Leaflet Distribution | prettylittlewriter

For today's blog post I am doing something a little different.

A company known as the Leaflet Distribution Team sent out a tweet to bloggers asking if we would like some samples of their products to review.
I replied as I was interested to see what kind of products they provided if you were to purchase from them.

I was impressed with the selection I received; if you run a small business or are part of a larger company and want high quality leaflets for your campaign, the Leaflet Distribution Team won't let you down.

Takeaway Leaflet; bright and opaque colours, brilliant quality printing.

A spot UV flyer; additional sensory appeal to a standard flyer, added shine and texture.

Luxury matte laminated business card; great smooth texture with clear and aesthetically pleasing text.

A spot UV business card; again that extra something compared to a standard business card due to the added texture and shine.

Gloss laminated flyer; much like a postcard, nicely thick card with great quality printed image and text.

Overall I think these products are of great, high quality and it is definitely worth looking into the company if you require such services.

Leaflet distribution is a great way of advertising your business or company by going straight to potential customers homes with your pitch, or if you hand the leaflets out to potential customers themselves, using such great quality products could quite easily sway that potential customer into a guaranteed one.

You can browse their prices and read all about the company over on their website www.leafletdistributionteam.co.uk

You can also find them on social media;

Mini Mac Haul | prettylittlewriter

As my student loan recently came through and I had a little bit left after paying my car insurance and my rent, I thought I'd treat myself to a few things.

Mac is a beauty brand I always love to purchase from, their lipsticks are heavenly and I am growing to love their eye shadows a lot too.

The three items I purchased this time were the Vegas Volt lipstick and the All That Glitters and Bronze eye shadows.

Vegas Volt

From left to right; All That Glitters, Bronze and another favourite, Antiqued

From left to right; Vegas Volt, All That Glitters & Bronze
I chose these colours for the eye shadows as I am creating a natural shades palette as these are what I use the most.

Once I've tried out these products a little more I will do a proper review on them, I will also soon be reviewing the previous Mac products I purchased which can be seen here.

Have you purchased any Mac products lately?

Recently I turned 21 years old, and I had the most amazing birthday ever.

Instagram Diary | March | prettylittlewriter

The month of March has been quite a busy one for me.

Not only did I turn 21 and went away with my boyfriend to celebrate, but I also visited Lincoln Cathedral with my University, was asked by my Niece to be the Godmother to my new little great Nephew, and performed my final presentation for Uni.

I thought I'd share with you a few pictures from throughout March to show you guys my eventful month!

I had such a fabulous birthday, and thank you to everyone who had a role in that :)
