Make Up Look | Peach Eyes & Pink Lip | prettylittlewriter

For a recent interview (which I ended up being offered the job!) I chose a make up look which I suited my skin tone perfectly but kept that summery feel to it.

Normally when trying out summer make up looks, it just fades in to my pale skin and I look washed out.
However, this time, using Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette in the shades Burnout & Trick, and Tanya Burr's Picnic in the Park lipgloss, the pink and peachy tones complimented my natural colour. I applied the shade Burnout all over my eyelids and then proceeded to apply Trick in the creases and corners of my eyes.

I really liked this look and will definitely be trying it out again!

What do you guys think to this look? :)

Mini Primark Haul | prettylittlewriter

I haven't really done a fashion haul in quite a while, but don't worry, that will not be the case for much longer as I have now bagged myself a job with a fabulous salary, so will have plenty of spare cash to buy a few bits here and there!

With only having small amounts of cash available to me as of late, the only place I've really been able to purchase things from is Primark. Such great products for a low price!

The main items I have been looking at are socks, underwear and pyjamas, mainly due to the amazing Disney products they have. So I thought I'd share with you the items I have most recently bought!

 1. Jungle Book vest and pant set

 2. Little Mermaid & Tinkerbell pants

 3. Bambi, Snow White and Fox socks

 4. Bambi cosy socks & Thumper soft shoe liners

So those are my most recent purchases from Primark, and yes, my Disney obsession is still in high gear!

What have you purchased recently from Primark? :)

Lush Haul | prettylittlewriter

Recently, Lush announced they were releasing some new products online and in stores that could originally only be bought from the London Oxford Street store.
As soon as the products were released online, I placed an order to get the new products that interested me the most.

This shower cream is the same scent as the hugely popular Comforter Bubble Bar, deliciously fruity and sweet, reminds me of liquorice!

Flamingo Reusable Bubble Bar. This cute little bar of delight smells sweet and floral, and has a slight orange colour peeking out so you may get a little surprise when using it!

This gorgeous looking bath bomb, Skydancer, is in support of tagging Hen Harrier Chicks so they can be tracked at all times. A lot have been going missing for a variety of reasons, and we are trying to save them from extinction, therefore tracking them allows us to know where they are.
This bath bomb is seriously impressive once popped in the bath, I think it may be my new favourite!

Karma Bubble Bar. I have featured this on my blog before, but as I was seriously impressed by it, I had to purchase a new one. The scent is sweet orange and patchouli, and it leaves your bath water a gorgeous purple shade.
Check out my previous post on this product here.

Frozen Bath Bomb. LET IT GO LET IT GO (into the baaathh!) Okay, so I was seriously excited when I heard Lush were creating a bath bomb in honour of Disney's Frozen, and they certainly haven't disappointed! The scent of neroli and rose oil, this bath bomb creates a sense of being within the icy seas of the Frozen world, and with my love for everything Disney anyway, I am truly impressed!

The Experimenter is one of the most impressive new bath bombs in Lush's summer collection. Containing popping candy and vanilla absolute for a delicious scent, you will not want to miss watching this bomb unfold!

Granny Takes A Dip bubble bar. Unfortunately for us, the bath bomb of the same name has been discontinued, but lucky for us Lush decided to turn the same fragrance and cool appearance into a bubble bar. You will get more use out of the bubble bar than you would have the bath bomb, and it still creates the same psychedelic effect in your bath water.

And last but not least is the Intergalactic Bath bomb. Silly me forgot to take a proper picture of this bomb, so I've cropped one of the entire collection, so I apologise for the rubbish quality of this image!
Peppermint and popping candy helps create a thrilling bath experience, taking you on a trip into space from the comfort of your own bathroom!

You can purchase these items from any Lush store and on their website Lush.co.uk

So those are the products I have purchased from the new summer collection, I am truly impressed with them all and I cannot wait to start using them!

Instagram Diary | July | prettylittlewriter

The month of July was a pretty busy one for me, mainly visiting my amazing niece and her gorgeous son, attending my graduation and job hunting.

I have had a couple of interviews, nothing has stuck yet, but I am hoping something will come along soon.

I thought I'd share with you all my month through instagram pictures :)

Hope you enjoyed this little insight to my month, can't wait to see what August brings!

Make Up Look | Dark Eyes & Nude Lip | prettylittlewriter

A lot of the time I stick to a very similar make up look, natural tones with golden shimmers and a pink or red lip. However, recently I decided I wanted to try something a little different and more daring.

So I chose to embrace my inner Avril Lavigne and create dark, sultry eyes.

To create this look I used my go-to concealer and foundation, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair and Cool Medium & Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation in Ivory.

To create the dark smoky eyes, I used Urban Decay's Naked Palette and the shades Gunmetal & Creep. I started by applying Gunmetal all over my lids, then I shaded in the creases of my eyelids and my lower & upper lash lines with Creep. I finally blended a little bit of the shade Virgin to the inner corner of my eye and just under my brow to give my eyes a little bit of shine to them.

For the nude lip, I used Mac's Velvet Teddy. This is my go-to nude lipstick, I think it suits my skin tone well and I love the matte finish.

I was quite impressed with the finished results, I was a little worried that it would be too much next to my pale skin, however I really liked the look and would definitely try it again.

I hope you like this make up look, would you try it yourself? I would love to hear from you!

Zoella Beauty | Tutti Fruitty | prettylittlewriter

Social media went crazy when beauty blogger and Youtube sensation Zoella announced the release of a fresh, new range to add to her Zoella Beauty products. On sale at Superdrug and FeelUnique, this new Tutti Fruitty range has a couple of entirely new products and a fresh new summer fragrance to it.

I couldn't quite afford to get my hands on all of the new products, so I chose the items that I knew I really wanted, which are the 'Scrubbing me softly' Smoothing Body Scrub & the 'Fresh Fizz' Fragranced Bath Fizzer.

I used both products whilst having a bath the other evening and the bath fizzer is absolutely delicious! Such a heavenly sweet scent which leaves your bath water soft and delicate, and the body scrub left my skin feeling super soft to the touch after use with the same scent.

Overall I am very impressed with the two products purchased, and I am very happy to have added them to my collection!

Have you bought any of the new Zoella Beauty range? What are your thoughts?

July Favourites | prettylittlewriter

August is here, which means July is over, therefore SUMMER IS ALMOST OVER.
Where has the time gone?!

I feel as if these past few months have been a complete whirlwind, the weeks have passed by so fast, and even though I am quite sad that Summer will be over soon, I am extremely ready to enter the Autumn months!
For anyone who knows me or has been following my blog since I started, you will know that Autumn, Halloween and Christmas are my favourite times of the year!

But before I start rambling on about how much I love them, I will get to the point of this blog post, the products I have been loving throughout July!

I was unsure on this product to begin with as I am not a huge fan of the coconut scent, however the aroma only has a slight hint of coconut and smells incredibly sweet. But not only do they smell delicious, the combination of the coconut water and oil turn my hair into silky smooth perfection. I have honestly never had such soft hair from simply using shampoo and conditioner; Ogx have thoroughly impressed me.

The past few months I have mainly been using up my Lush shower gels from the Christmas and Valentine's range, however, I eventually ran out of those and decided to try something that my niece had recommended me. This shower cream seriously smells good enough to eat and spreading this all over your body leaves your skin feeling super soft.
Retails at £1.90

When I first saw this product advertised, I was uncertain of how truthful the reviews were. Surely something you apply for 3 minutes and rinse off in the shower cannot give you a perfect gradual and natural tan. However, I was wrong. This product is something to be incredibly impressed by. After 3 days of application, my skin had a lovely natural glow to it, and after 5 days of application, I arrived at the colour I desired to be. You may think that applying it 5 days in a row is a lot, but when you shower every day anyway, and it only takes 4 minutes (1 minute to apply, 3 minutes to wait then rinse) of your time, it truly is a god send for those who would rather not spend ages waiting for their mousse/spray tans to dry before getting dressed. There is also no worries when it comes to leaving marks on clothes or bedding, it leaves no residue!
I would truly recommend this product to anyone who wishes for a quick and easy tanning experience!
Retails at £14.50

A recent purchase, I have had my eyes on this palette for a long while and managed to get my hands on it a couple of weeks ago and I have been using it ever since. I knew from my Naked 1 palette that they were of great quality, but I absolutely love the shades within this one. My favourites to use at the moment are Burnout, Liar & Mugshot.
Retails at £37.00

In the summer months, I tend not to wear too much make up as it all comes off in the heat anyway, however I always love to have colour on my lips as it gives your skin a bit of a boost. The two I have been reaching for the past month are Brave and Morange. Brave is a nude/pink satin finish which is perfect for a more natural make up look, adding just the right amount of colour to your face. Morange is the shade I reach for when I have a tan (which is never natural as I am so pale!), so whenever I can be bothered to apply fake tan, I like to grab this gorgeous orange shade to add a pop to my make up look!

Now, I always loved my colouring books as a child, and once I grew up and began to believe that colouring in pictures was a childish thing, I stopped and always thought I would not colour in pictures until I have my own child one day. However, when travelling down from my hometown back to Devon, I spotted this absolutely gorgeous adult colouring book in a service station. I had never heard of such things before, but apparently there are quite a few out there now. This caught my eye by the gorgeous patterns and lovely gold shading of the front cover, and when I flicked through it, I saw just how magical and fairytale-esque it was, so I had to have it!
I have only managed to colour a tiny owl inside the book so far, but I cannot wait to start going through it properly!
Retails at £9.95

So there you have it, the products I have been loving throughout the month of July!
What are your July favourites?
