Autumn Candle Haul | prettylittlewriter

I am a huge fan of candles, especially when the Autumn and Winter months begin.
There is nothing more cosy and romantic than wrapping up with a hot drink in a blanket surrounded by glowing candles.
Not to mention when they smell absolutely amazing.

As you can see, I have picked up a couple more of the Black Cat range from Yankee Candle, the Wax Tart Melter and the Medium and Large Jar Holder. They are absolutely adorable, and perfect for Autumn, leading in to Halloween.

I also picked up this Halloween Candle from a shop called Home Bargains, and it really was a bargain at £2.99. It smells amazing, very sweet and almost good enough to eat!

Then I picked up one of Yankee Candle's new scents, Cosy by the fire. This smells amazing; ginger, clove and orange give it that gorgeous woody scent to create the cosy setting of relaxing by a fire with a hot drink.

The Black Cat Wax Tart Melter came with a complimentary tart, which in my case, was the Candy Corn scent. I was not a fan of this scent to begin with, however it has begun to grow on me since using the melter. However, you do have to provide your own tea lights for the bottom of the melter, I went to Poundland and bought some orange Halloween ones.

So they are my recent candle purchases, and I cannot wait to start burning them throughout the next few months!

Zoella Beauty Winter Collection | prettylittlewriter

As a huge fan of Zoella (AKA Zoe Sugg), one of the most successful bloggers and Youtubers around, I was extremely excited to hear she was releasing some new products in time for Christmas.

It did not come as a surprise to me however, as anyone that follows Zoella will know she is an extremely festive person and loves everything Autumn and Winter.

Upon the release, I ordered myself three of the products that caught my eye the most.

First up is the trio of mini fizz bars. This comes with both of the original release bath fizzers with an added extra just for Christmas. This smells much warmer than the first two fragrances, which is no surprise as Zoe must have wanted it to have a more festive fragrance than the others.

Next is the All That Glimmers Fluffy Powder Puff with Dusting Shimmer. At first I was a little confused and thought Feel Unique hadn't packed my product properly as there was no powder to dab the puff in to. However, upon smelling the puff, I realised that the shimmer is embedded into the powder puff, with Zoella's signature fragrance from her original product release, and as you dab it over your skin, it leaves you with a gorgeous glitter/shimmer and smelling delicious.

And last but certainly not least, is my favourite, the Bath Bombinis. They have a very vintage feel to them, I love anything in cute little jars like this, and not to mention the added copper element of the bombinis themselves. They are absolutely adorable, and again, like the new fizz bar, they have more of a warm and festive scent.
However I feel like I do not want to use these as the packaging is just too cute and I want to keep them!

They can be picked up through FeelUnique.com and most Superdrug stores and online.

So those are the products I ordered from her new range, I am hoping to receive some of the others as Christmas presents, there are plenty more to be collected!

Skincare Favourites | prettylittlewriter

With the colder months approaching, it's easy to keep wrapped up warm with winter clothing and blankets, but how can you protect your skin from the damage the cold winter air can do?

Here are my favourite skincare products that help me keep my skin feeling fresh, soft and protected from the cold.

This is a brilliant product to apply all over your body to create a barrier from anything that may dry out your skin. I like to apply this straight after a shower and just before bed as the friction from tossing and turning in bed can irritate the skin. As I have Psoriasis, I find this works best by applying a generous amount to the areas affected, and following up with my steroid cream once the formula has had time to soak in to my skin.

This is my holy grail spot treatment gel. It comes in an easy to use pump spray, and only one pump is needed to cover any spots that you have upon your face. I used to have a lot of small spots on my forehead, but once I began using this treatment, they disappeared. I always turn to this product when I can feel a spot appearing.

This soft and delicious smelling cleanser is probably my all time favourite skincare product that I have ever purchased. At a hefty price of £38, I expected amazing things, and I certainly wasn't disappointed. A scent of orange, neroli and mandarin, this brilliant cleanser removes make up with ease and leaves your skin feeling super soft and smelling lovely.
I turn to this product when I feel I am having a really bad skin day, it calms any redness I have, and minimises my pores.

Ever feel like your skin is looking dull and lifeless? This product will completely change that! I apply this about an hour before bedtime to allow it time to soak into my skin, and in the morning I can see a clear difference in texture and appearance of my skin. It looks 10 times healthier and feels much smoother and bouncier. This product uses Edelweiss stem cells, which is a natural skin enhancing ingredient, designed to help skin look younger and healthier.

This is my go to product when I want a quick and easy way of removing my make up after a long day. Simply apply with a dry hands all over your face, and then wipe off with the cloth provided after soaking it in hot water. The heat from the cloth helps remove dirt and grime much easier than with cold water, and the formula of the product leaves your skin feeling soft and clean. At a reasonable price of £20.75 for this limited edition, this is a brilliant product to keep your skin feeling fresh.

If these products appeal to you, however the price tag does not, why not head over to Glossier's website. They do some amazing skincare products, such as the Balm Dotcom skin salve that helps repair and protect dry skin, and the Moisturising Moon mask that helps nourish skin and restore elasticity.
With very reasonable price tags, these products are a brilliant, more affordable form of skincare.

Review | Lush Intergalactic Bath Bomb | prettylittlewriter

The thing I love the most about some of Lush's bath bombs, is the patterns and colours they create.
The Intergalactic bath bomb is no exception.

It really does make you feel as if you could be out in the galaxy somewhere, with glitter particles reminding you of the stars, and all the different colours representing the different planets and the milky way, and finally the gorgeous shade of bath water it ends with.

The scent is cool and refreshing peppermint, uplifting grapefruit oil with a dash of cedarwood oil, creating a natural almost Autumnal scent.

I seriously enjoyed this bath bomb. I never wanted to get out of the water! Overall I would give it a 10/10 as again, like the Frozen bath bomb, there is absolutely nothing that I dislike about it!

What are your thoughts on this bath bomb?

Make Up Look | LA Splash in 'Lady' | prettylittlewriter

I recently discovered the make up brand, LA Splash Cosmetics, and became obsessed with their Lip Lustres when I realised they were Disney inspired!

I picked up three different shades, and I will review each of them separately.

LA Splash Cosmetics is an American based brand, however if you follow the link above to the LoveMakeup website, you can purchase them for £9.50 each plus postage!

I paired this lip shade with the half-baked and smog eye-shadows from the Urban Decay Naked Palette.
I absolutely adore the colour, the name Lady is brilliant for it as it reminds me of the bow that Lady from Lady and the Tramp is introduced in. Not to mention it has small glitter particles with the formula, which gives it that extra sparkle and fairytale look.

I found the lipgloss formula easy to apply, and after a couple of minutes, the formula dries into a lipstick which has brilliant staying power. However, once I ate something, it started to flake off and became a bit of a mess. If you want to keep this look for quite a while during an event where you would be required to eat, then I would suggest keeping the tube with you so you can top up when it flakes off.

I really enjoyed this look and will definitely use it again, and now I know to keep the tube with me to top up when it starts to fade.

Have you tried any of the LA Splash Cosmetics lip range?

Autumn Lipsticks | prettylittlewriter

Autumn is here, and with that comes movement from Summer to Autumn/Winter make up looks.

The most prominent change to make to your make up when switching to Autumn is the shade of lipstick you wear.
My favourite shades at this time of year are deep reds, plums and brown nudes.

Left to right; Mac's Brave, Charlotte Tilbury's Bond Girl, Mac's Rebel, Charlotte Tilbury's Glastonberry and Mac's Hang Up.
Left to right; Hang Up, Rebel, Glastonberry, Brave and Bond Girl.

Left to right; Mac's Brave, Charlotte Tilbury's Bond Girl & Glastonberry, Mac's Rebel & Hang Up.
These are the top five that I turn to at this time of year, I love berry shades in Autumn much more than reds as I see red shades as more of a Christmassy thing, whereas purple/berry shades remind me of Halloween and the changing of the leaves.

Do you have any favourite Autumn lipstick shades?
