The Ordinary Skincare | prettylittlewriter

Good morning everyone!
I hope your week has started off well, mine certainly has gotten a lot more exciting!
ASOS have recently introduced the brand The Ordinary. to their products, and oh my goodness, they look incredible!
As soon as I saw them I had to get my hands on them, and they are so affordable!
In the post today arrived two of their products that interested me the most, so let me introduce you...
Firstly, I chose the Caffeine Solution, which is a mixture of Caffeine and Green Tea extract. It is designed to reduce the appearance of eye contour pigmentation and puffiness. As I have only just received the items, I am yet to see any real, long-lasting results, however, after applying the caffeine solution to my under eyes bags, they instantly started cooling and I could feel it taking effect on the puffiness of my under eye area. My bags have been a constant battle throughout my life so far, they are so purple and puffy, and quite difficult to conceal, so I am hoping for good things!

The second product that caught my eye was the Peeling Solution. Now don't be alarmed, peeling doesn't mean your skin is going to come off, nor does it mean the serum will solidify and you'll have to peel it off! The Peeling Solution is a ten-minute exfoliating facial in bottle; with a deep rouge shade to it, it can look a little scary at first.
This is what it looks like when applied, I'm not sure how much you should use, so I just placed a few droplets on each different section of my face and tried to massage it in as evenly as possible!
I must admit, it did sting, quite a bit. But only on my cheeks, which at the moment has quite a few blemishes, so I assumed that meant it was working it's magic!

At first removal, after the 10 minutes was up, I was a little bit worried I may have had a reaction to the product, as my face was quite pink! However, after dabbing my face with cold water, that soon faded! It left me with very soft and subtle skin, and it also brought my blemishes out to the forefront. I do not think this is a bad thing in any way, I believe it is the solutions way of extracting the bad stuff in your skin, bringing it to the surface and (hopefully) getting rid of them!
You are advised on the website only to use the product twice a week, as it is quite a concentrated, acid solution. It also advises you on the packaging to wear SPF for a week after using the product if you're exposed to the sun as it can increase your skin's sensitivity and possibly cause sunburn.
Overall, I am incredibly impressed with these two products. What makes them even better is that they are tested on humans, and not animals. Any brand that is against animal testing is brilliant in my eyes!
So now, I cannot wait to see the results within the next few weeks!

Tanya Burr Cosmetics | prettylittlewriter

The Tanya Burr Cosmetics Instagram page have been running the 12 days of gift giving for the past few weeks to giveaway lots of wonderful prizes from gift vouchers, hair appointments to Tanya's own product range.

I was lucky enough to be one of their winners! I managed to win an ASOS Gift Voucher and Tanya's whole Lipstick range and 3 of her new matte Nail Polishes.
I couldn't believe my luck at winning, and I am so incredibly grateful to Tanya Burr Cosmetics for choosing me for this lovely prize!

I thought I'd share with you the products I have received, and give you a mini review on them :)

The lipsticks all look absolutely incredible! I can see myself using every single one of the different shades, from the vibrant Central Park in the Summer months, to the deep burgundy Big Kiss and vivid Wild Safari in the Autumn/Winter months.
My absolute favourite I have to say is Big Kiss, whether that's just because it's winter and I love a berry shade at this time of year, I'm not sure, I just find the colours absolutely stunning and I am very impressed in the pigmentation of each of them.

The nail polishes I am not quite as excited about, purely because I am so rubbish at painting my nails, I always end up smudging no matter how hard I try not to! However, I am looking forward to trying these gorgeous pastel shades, especially with them being matte effect! I find Matte nails absolutely stunning, they are very classy and sophisticated.

Overall I am incredibly impressed with these new products of Tanya's, and I am so grateful to the Tanya Burr Cosmetics team for supplying me with them.
I cannot wait to try them all out!

If you like what you see and want to purchase these for yourself, pop on over to Superdrug or Feel Unique and why not go check out the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Instagram page whilst your at it? There are still some prizes up for grabs, so if I can win, so can you!

Autumn Fashion Wishlist | prettylittlewriter

The colder months are fast approaching, and so is my favourite season, Autumn.

What I love the most about the Autumn months are the gorgeous colours of the leaves on the trees and the stunning fashion items that come in the A/W.

For AW15, here are my top picks and a couple of items I already own!

L-R; Topshop Slim Pocket Coat & Ribbed Side Split Jumper

The two items above are the ones I already own, and I am seriously in love with them both. The coat is absolutely gorgeous and the jumper is the perfect autumnal colour!

Wearing the above items! :)
From top left to bottom right; ASOS Kimono Playsuit, Topshop Ribbed Side Split Jumper, ASOS Open Back Shirt in Stripe & ASOS Suede Shirt Dress

L-R; ASOS Cord Pinafore Dress, Boohoo Maya Tall Wood Fedora Hat & Boohoo Jay Double Clip Cut Out Boots
So those are the Autumn/Fall fashion items I currently have and hope to purchase in the near future!

Do you have any Autumn must-haves?

Fashion Wishlist | prettylittlewriter

I haven't posted a wishlist for some time now, so I thought I'd get back into it by showing you guys some of the fashion and clothing items I currently have on my wishlist!

From left to right; Crop Top - Topshop, Jeans - Topshop, T shirt - ASOS
The crop top being a gorgeous aztec print will be lovely for summer, and a girl can never have enough pairs of jeans, especially these awesome ripped ones! And the t shirt from ASOS I just found amusing, and would team it with the ripped jeans for a nice but casual look.

From left to right; Rain Mac - ASOS, T shirt - Topshop, Playsuit - ASOS
I have had my eye on this gorgeous yellow rain mac from ASOS for a while, I think it will be perfect for spring/summer for those rainy days. I added a simple plain striped top to my wishlist as I don't have many casual t shirts, and this one looks like pretty great quality. This playsuit from ASOS is only available from the petite range, and I think it is absolutely stunning!

From left to right; Top - Topshop, Pyjamas - Topshop, T shirt - ASOS
Another lovely striped t shirt from Topshop, however this has a little extra detail on it and would be great for festival wear. I'm sure a lot of you know how much I love Disney, therefore it should be no surprise that I have some Disney pyjamas on my wishlist! Topshop just do the most amazing pyjamas ever!
The t shirt from ASOS, again I found quite amusing, especially since I feel I get FOMO quite a lot!
River Island
And finally, not clothing, but the most stunning bag from River Island I have ever seen! I love the colour block pattern, especially with it being dark contrasting bright.
This bag is still available on the website, and I have been loving it for quite some time, therefore I will be purchasing it when pay day comes!

What's on your fashion wishlist this month?

September pay day wishlist | prettylittlewriter

Another month has flown by, and next week is my monthly pay day from working hard at Primark. There are an awful lot of products I am wishing for at the moment, however with my trip to Florida on the horizon, I have to be particularly choosy with my spending.
So these are the items I am allowing myself to purchase when my bank account no longer contains cobwebs!

You may have seen the dress in the middle from my previous pay day wishlist, but due to unforeseen circumstances I ended up not purchasing it. This month I am determined to have it along with these two gorgeous midi skirts. The first is from ASOS and is such a lovely pink colour, and although I should be starting to purchase autumn/winter clothing, I just can't resist this little beauty. The third is actually from River Island, however is no longer available. I have found this product on Ebay from a seller I have previously purchased from and I think it is such a cute, retro kind of skirt which would look so pretty with a little black crop top and red heels!

This brings me on to the next item I am purchasing from ASOS which is actually for my trip to Florida.

I need a bag that will fit in my hand luggage bag and one that will go well with each and every one of the outfits I choose to wear whilst there. This bag is small enough and with it being black, it will go with absolutely anything. I love the croc print look and the studs around the bottom of the bag. Although I am buying this bag from ASOS, it is actually the River Island brand.

Now onto the beauty products I intend to purchase!

Firstly is the Sanctuary Spa 5min thermal detox mask. I have heard great things about this product so I wanted to try it out for myself. Sometimes I feel that cleansing isn't enough for my skin, so a detoxing mask may make more of a difference!
Next is the Chanel Illusion D'ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Diapason. I recently saw this eyeshadow shade used on the lovely Lucy Hale and it was such a nice pigmented shade, perfect for autumn/winter months.
I've also decided to try out the infamous Emma Hardie Amazing Face Cleansing Balm. Many beauty bloggers such as Zoella and Tanya Burr swear by this cleanser, and as a fan of trying out different cleansers, I believe this has to be something I try.
Lastly is the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Mont Blanc. This is also something I have heard major praise for through many different bloggers, and I want to try out many different foundations to see if I can find one that I would truly call my holy grail foundation.

So there you have it, my fashion and beauty future purchases!
I hope you enjoyed this post; are there any fashion or beauty products you are hoping to buy in the future? :)

Pay Day Wishlist | prettylittlewriter

Today I thought I'd give you guys a little sneak peek into the products I will be purchasing very soon when pay day arrives!

A lot of the products are either fashion or beauty, but there are a couple of other items that I've found that I NEED in my life ASAP!

First up are some Mac lipsticks!
I only have two currently, and they are 'Lady Danger' and 'Sunny Seoul'.

The shades I have chosen are (left to right); Morange, Hang Up and Russian Red.

I know summer is almost over (I'm super late on the bandwagon with this one!) and realistically I'll only be able to use this colour up until the end of September (that's pushing it!) but Morange has had some rave reviews and it is something I have had my eye on for a while now.
I only have one other orange lipstick and that is Topshop's 'Charmed'. 'Morange' is a much darker shade of orange than charmed, and it is very daring of me to want to try this colour, but I thought why the heck not?

Hang Up looks like a really pretty plum colour, and will be great for the Autumn/Winter months. However I am quite pale, so whether I will actually be able to pull it off is a different story!

Lady Danger is an orange-based lipstick, and Russian Red is more of a brown-based red colour. I love wearing red lipstick, whether it be for every day make up or going out, red lipstick just makes you stand out.

Next up are some storage boxes for my make up!

Available from Amazon - Drawers, Lipstick holder

I've been using make up bags all my life, and now I'm starting to get a much bigger collection, I need much more storage space. These drawers (left) are a great way to display my beauty products and keep them organised rather than me having to rummage through my make up bag for them! The stand on the right is for lipsticks, and although my collection isn't massive, I have many that I want to purchase in the future, so this will provide me with some storage space for them!

I have also spotted these gorgeous boxes from H&M, very girly and cute and will look lovely in my Uni room! I'm not sure what I will use them for yet, probably just for decoration to start with :)

Next up are some clothing items from ASOS, two I have spotted thanks to the lovely Zoella!

I've been needing some new denim shorts ever since I discovered that the 1 pair I owned no longer fit me! *cries*. These 'Mom' shorts jumped out at me straight away, and I love anything high waisted!
This dress I first saw on Zoe Sugg in one of her blog posts, and I fell in love with it straight away! I have one week until pay day, and currently they have my size and it has been reduced in price! I'm hoping it stays like that for next friday ^-^
As an avid Disney fan, I am always on the lookout for fashionable Disney clothing. This Bambi crop top is adorable and would look great with the Mom Shorts, so a definite must for me! This top was also spotted on the lovely Zoella!

Lastly are some Liz Earle products!

I thought I'd try out their shampoo and conditioner for dry/damaged hair as my ends are pretty much dead thanks to my ombre, and I'm always looking for something that will really help hide that damage.
I also want to purchase the Instant Boost Tonic as it is something that is recommended to use after the Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, and it is said to brighten your complexion; mine at times can be very dull!

So that is it! A few of the purchases I will be making in a week's time. Hope this is something you have enjoyed reading, if there is anything else you would like me to write about, leave it in the comments :)
