Zoella Beauty Winter Range 2018 | prettylittlewriter

Zoe Sugg aka Zoella never fails to impress me with her incredible beauty products. Each year she introduces something even better than the last, and this year it's the Cosmos Winter range.
There hasn't yet been an official release of the products (neither Zoe or Zoella Beauty have discussed the products being released) as they were leaked online and then became available on Feel Unique & Superdrug within a couple of days afterward.
Of course, either way, I was very excited to get my hands on the new products!

The scent is just amazing, completely different to anything she has ever released before. It has a very dark, sultry tone, with a hint of fruit. I think it might be my favourite scent that she has ever released.

The range includes milk powder, body wash, body whip, a large fragrance mist, bubble bath, body cream, bath oils, hand cream, along with many other items I haven't purchased.
Below are my favourite items from the range; the Cosmos fragrance mist, the bubble soak and milky way bath milk powder.

What are your thoughts on the new range?

March Favourites | prettylittlewriter

Hello everyone!
I have had quite a busy couple of months since I last posted! Not only have I moved house and in with my partner, but I've also changed jobs!

So I do apologise for being absent, but I am back and ready to start blogging again!

To begin, I thought I'd start by showing you all my recent favourite beauty products, most of which I've been using throughout March, but also into April.
First up is the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. With the price tag attached to this foundation, I was hesitant to buy it. When it comes to foundation, I'm a Rimmel girl through and through. However, I'd heard great reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try! I am definitely NOT regretting that decision. It's medium to full coverage, which I absolutely love, especially when I'm in the middle of a breakout. It's quite a matte finish, which means I don't need to use a powder to get rid of any shiny residue, and I'm much more of a matte finish than a dewy look anyway, especially at this time of year.
Overall, I absolutely love this foundation, and would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Next up is the glorious Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in the shade Diffused Heat. I have never used Hourglass products before, but they have always looked incredibly beautiful, and I was excited to get my hands on this product. It's a subtle mixture of blush and highlighter, a combination which compliments my fair skin perfectly. Blusher can be quite a difficult product to pin down with my skin tone, but this shade works so well for me. It reminds me of the dandelion blush by Benefit cosmetics, another of my favourite blushes.
Next we have the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser in the shade Porcelain. This product has been a god send for days when I feel rough and haven't wanted to wear too much make up. I've had the flu recently, and on days when I still had to leave the house, this has been my savior. It gives me just the right amount of coverage so I don't look too ghastly, it brightens my skin so I look more awake, and just gives me that sense of togetherness.
Now this product, is seriously my most favourite product EVER to have graced my skin. I know this is a bold claim, however when I apply this Nip and Fab Viper Venom Micro Blur Fix to my skin and then apply my foundation, my skin looks PERFECT. Almost airbrushed it is THAT good! Now I'd normally never pay out a lot of money on a primer, therefore when I saw this item half price in Superdrug, I thought I'd give it a try. Now I have used it, I'll never go back! Along with my make up looking airbrushed, the staying power is incredible. My make up still looks almost perfect after a long 8 hours day of work!
Next is this stunning face palette by Charlotte Tilbury. I chose the Seductive Beauty palette, which has a smoky eye look, along with a gorgeous bronze and highlighter. Originally I wanted the Natural Beauty palette, as I'm much more of a natural face kinda girl, however, the smoky eye is very subtle, with dark brown shades rather than black. The bronze is what I've been using the most, as you can probably tell by the words being much more worn away than the rest, but I use this palette when I want a quick make up look that doesn't take too long to do.
And finally, is this absolutely beautiful Charlotte Tilbury Matte Lipstick in the shade Legendary Queen. Now, as a lot of you may already know, I am a bit of a red lipstick fanatic. When Charlotte Tilbury released this product, boasting of a deep, neutral wine shade that would compliment all complexions, I had to have it. I have been wearing this shade non-stop for the past month, I absolutely adore it.

What have your favourite beauty products been lately?

The Ordinary Skincare | prettylittlewriter

Good morning everyone!
I hope your week has started off well, mine certainly has gotten a lot more exciting!
ASOS have recently introduced the brand The Ordinary. to their products, and oh my goodness, they look incredible!
As soon as I saw them I had to get my hands on them, and they are so affordable!
In the post today arrived two of their products that interested me the most, so let me introduce you...
Firstly, I chose the Caffeine Solution, which is a mixture of Caffeine and Green Tea extract. It is designed to reduce the appearance of eye contour pigmentation and puffiness. As I have only just received the items, I am yet to see any real, long-lasting results, however, after applying the caffeine solution to my under eyes bags, they instantly started cooling and I could feel it taking effect on the puffiness of my under eye area. My bags have been a constant battle throughout my life so far, they are so purple and puffy, and quite difficult to conceal, so I am hoping for good things!

The second product that caught my eye was the Peeling Solution. Now don't be alarmed, peeling doesn't mean your skin is going to come off, nor does it mean the serum will solidify and you'll have to peel it off! The Peeling Solution is a ten-minute exfoliating facial in bottle; with a deep rouge shade to it, it can look a little scary at first.
This is what it looks like when applied, I'm not sure how much you should use, so I just placed a few droplets on each different section of my face and tried to massage it in as evenly as possible!
I must admit, it did sting, quite a bit. But only on my cheeks, which at the moment has quite a few blemishes, so I assumed that meant it was working it's magic!

At first removal, after the 10 minutes was up, I was a little bit worried I may have had a reaction to the product, as my face was quite pink! However, after dabbing my face with cold water, that soon faded! It left me with very soft and subtle skin, and it also brought my blemishes out to the forefront. I do not think this is a bad thing in any way, I believe it is the solutions way of extracting the bad stuff in your skin, bringing it to the surface and (hopefully) getting rid of them!
You are advised on the website only to use the product twice a week, as it is quite a concentrated, acid solution. It also advises you on the packaging to wear SPF for a week after using the product if you're exposed to the sun as it can increase your skin's sensitivity and possibly cause sunburn.
Overall, I am incredibly impressed with these two products. What makes them even better is that they are tested on humans, and not animals. Any brand that is against animal testing is brilliant in my eyes!
So now, I cannot wait to see the results within the next few weeks!

Lush Valentine's Event | prettylittlewriter

A couple of evenings ago, I was lucky enough to attend a Valentine's Bloggers Event in Lush @ Exeter. We were supplied with drinks, nibbles and a look at the Valentine's products in action through demos, along with the staff trying out some of the products on us!

I got a couple of cheeky items from the new range, including the Love Spell Massage Bar and the Kiss Me Quick Business Card. However I no longer have a bath *Sad face*, therefore the bath bombs and bubble bars were not something I could pick up as I just wouldn't be able to use them!

Not only do all of the products look amazing, but being pampered by the staff with their massage bars and shower gel demos was a lovely experience!
The staff were all so friendly, and not to mention their knowledge of each product! It was such an impressive and wonderful evening, I am so incredibly happy to have been invited along.

Each and every product smell, look and feel incredible. If you're a Lush fan, or even if you have never tried their stuff, head on over to your local lush store, or visit the website and grab yourselves something from this incredible range!

Lush Winter '16 | prettylittlewriter

With this time of year comes something truly special, the leaves change, turning into incredibly beautiful colours, the air turns crisp and the cosy jumpers come out.
But something else arrives, something that smells sweet and warm, and gives you that tingly sensation of happiness; and that is the Lush Winter products!

As you can see, I went a little crazy, but that's purely because I visited the Lush store in Oxford Street on my trip to London last week!
First up are the Halloween products that look incredible! I love the new addition of the Pumpkin bath bomb, he's so cute! And not forgetting my old favourite; Sparkly Pumpkin!

Next up are the Christmas products, my favourites here are the Satsuma Bath Bomb and the So White Bath Bomb! I love that they have made some slight additions to So White, the effect they have in your bath water is gorgeous!
