Kylie Cosmetics Haul | prettylittlewriter

Finally, after a month of waiting, I have received my Kylie Cosmetics order! (Yippee!)
And before I start ranting about the length of time it took for me to get it (because geez, it took forever!!), I'll dive straight into showing you the products!

Out of her holiday collection, I picked up a fair few products, including the Make up Brushes, Mini Liquid Lipsticks, the Holiday Eye Palette & the Make up Bag.
I also have the Vixen & Merry Lip Kits, but I purchased them before this haul.

The Mini Liquid Lipstick kit includes the shades, Moon, Ginger, Kristen, Angel(Christmas Exclusive), Love Bite & Vixen(Christmas Exclusive).

The brushes are AMAZING. I have just used them to apply the Holiday Palette and I am very impressed with the results! They hold just enough pigment to fill in your eyelid, but not too much that it falls over your cheeks leaving you with an absolute mess to deal with.

I love the shades in this palette. Definitely winter colours, however I will certainly be using the light shades during the spring/summer months and the purples for that smoky look!

I also purchased some of the shades I've had my eye on for a while in her standard collection. True Brown K, Brown Sugar & Dirty Peach. I wasn't sure on True Brown K, however after applying it today, it has certainly grown on me. I will say however, not to apply it with a smoky eye also, unless you want that Wednesday Addams look.

I love every single one of these items, have you purchased any Kylie Cosmetics recently? I'd love to know your thoughts!

Kylie Cosmetics | Burgundy Palette | prettylittlewriter

Every time Kylie Jenner announces a new product for her brand, Kylie Cosmetics, the world stops and gazes in awe. This announcement was no exception.
When the first Kyshadow was released, the Bronze Palette, there was serious hype about the product and I added it to my wishlist to purchase at some point, however, then she announced, the Burgundy Palette. I mean. Just look at it.
How can you not want this product? The colours are absolutely stunning, and so perfect for the Autumn/Winter months. From warm golden tones, to red hot burgundy and mauves, this palette has everything you need to add some spice to your make up look this season.
Have you managed to get your hands on The Burgundy Palette? What are your thoughts?

Mac Haul | prettylittlewriter

With the new Mac Cinderella collection selling out online the day it was released, and not having a Mac counter nearby, I was really gutted.

However, instead of crying about it (I did a little), I thought I'd purchase a few other items from Mac that are always available.

The items I bought are the Pro Palette Large Duo, Pro Palette Eye-shadow Insert, Eye-shadow in Antiqued for the Pro Palette, Cremeblend Blush in So Sweet, So Easy, Creme Sheen lipstick in Sweet and Sour and the Lip Pencil in Whirl.

Have you recently purchased any Mac products?

Review | Naked Palette by Urban Decay | prettylittlewriter

Now, I know I am incredibly late reviewing this product, however I am completely obsessed with it and just had to share with you all what my thoughts are!

I have heard a lot of good reviews on this product, and the Naked 2 and Naked 3 palettes, and I thought I'd get them in the order they were released, so I received this as a Christmas present last year.

I have used every single shade and can honestly say they are all very impressive. My favourites to use on a daily basis are Sidecar, Half Baked, Toasted, Smog and Hustle.

For a natural smoky eye I usually use a combination of Sidecar and Hustle or Half Baked and Hustle, but if I want a more daring smoky eye I use Gunmetal and Creep.

There are 3 completely matte shades and the rest have either a slight shimmer or a complete shimmer, and those I love the most are the complete shimmer shades.

I have yet still to purchase the Naked 2 and Naked 3 palettes, but I am hoping to complete the collection very soon!

What are your thoughts on the original Naked Palette by Urban Decay? Do you have any favourite shades?

Front Cover Palette Review | prettylittlewriter

For today's post I thought I'd give you a little peek at the eyeshadow I have been using a lot lately.

I've had this Front Cover eyeshadow palette for years now but I hadn't used it in a fair few months and have just rediscovered my love for it!

This was purchased from boots and contains 25 different shades, two brushes and an eyeliner pen. It also gives you some instructions on how to create four different looks using the shades. Unfortunately, Boots no longer stock these lovely beauty kits, but you can purchase them from the official website and Ebay.

There are some super bright colours in there that I don't think I have ever used as I'm nowhere near brave enough to try them!

My favourite shades are the more neutral shades; Mother of Pearl, Biscuit, Hazel and Clove.
I recently used these shades with the addition of Chocolate Truffle to create this eye make up look.

The photograph really doesn't do the shades justice. In person it was much more pigmented and quite a dark purple thanks to the Chocolate Truffle shade.

As you can see from the swatches, most of these shades are well pigmented and have a shimmer to them, however there are a few matte shades which are Hazel, Clove, French Blue, Buttercup, Carrot and Super Pink.

I find that the shades are all really easy to use and give a brilliant finish to any make up look, whether it be the smoky eye or if you're going for the neutral look.

The only thing I will say against this particular product is the size; it isn't travel friendly in the slightest. However, there are other palettes by the same brand which have the shades in separate squares which you can remove and pop into a travel box provided with the palette.

Have you ever used the Front Cover make up brand?
