Make Up Look | LA Splash in 'Lady' | prettylittlewriter

I recently discovered the make up brand, LA Splash Cosmetics, and became obsessed with their Lip Lustres when I realised they were Disney inspired!

I picked up three different shades, and I will review each of them separately.

LA Splash Cosmetics is an American based brand, however if you follow the link above to the LoveMakeup website, you can purchase them for £9.50 each plus postage!

I paired this lip shade with the half-baked and smog eye-shadows from the Urban Decay Naked Palette.
I absolutely adore the colour, the name Lady is brilliant for it as it reminds me of the bow that Lady from Lady and the Tramp is introduced in. Not to mention it has small glitter particles with the formula, which gives it that extra sparkle and fairytale look.

I found the lipgloss formula easy to apply, and after a couple of minutes, the formula dries into a lipstick which has brilliant staying power. However, once I ate something, it started to flake off and became a bit of a mess. If you want to keep this look for quite a while during an event where you would be required to eat, then I would suggest keeping the tube with you so you can top up when it flakes off.

I really enjoyed this look and will definitely use it again, and now I know to keep the tube with me to top up when it starts to fade.

Have you tried any of the LA Splash Cosmetics lip range?

October Favourites | prettylittlewriter

It's November 5th, so I thought it was about time I shared the products I have been loving throughout October!

1. Vera Wang Princess Power Perfume.
This perfume smells absolutely gorgeous. A gift given to me for being a bridesmaid at my Niece's wedding, this scent is very floral and flirty; perfect for those aspiring princesses or just very girly, girls!

2. Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub.
This has been my saviour lately, as the weather has gotten colder and my lips are paying the price. So I scrub my lips using this deliciously sweet stuff and add vaseline over the top. It has really helped get rid of my chapped and broken lips, leaving me with silky smooth ones!

3. Tanya Burr Lipgloss in Picnic in the Park.
I know I am very late when it comes to Tanya's Lipgloss range, however I bought this one and Aurora, and I have fallen slightly in love with this shade. A lovely pink nude, perfect for finishing off any make up look with a dash of sophistication!

4. Benefit Dandelion Brightening Face Powder.
Okay, so I am cheating here a little bit because this face powder is in my favourites every single month as I do not use any other blusher! This has been my go to for well over a year now, and I constantly repurchase it as I run out quite quickly! This blusher is my favourite as I have quite pale skin, and it just gives my cheeks that little pink glow that I need, and doesn't make me look like a clown!

5. Bourjois Delice De Poudre Bronzing Powder.
This has been my favourite bronzer lately as it gives me that healthy glow without making my face look dirty like a lot of bronzers can. Not to mention it is in a cute chocolate bar shape!

6. Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr in On and On Bronze.
This, by far, has been my favourite eye product lately. Constantly using it, it is a great shade that requires little effort to apply and just gives your everyday make up that little extra pop!

7. Halloween Yankee Candle in Ghostly Treats.
Now, of course, there has to be something relating to Halloween in my October favourites, and this candle definitely had to have the spot! This candle smells very much like Yankee's Fireside Treats; a very sweet and marshmallow type scent!

finally,
non beauty related is Taylor Swift's new album, 1989.
I absolutely love every single song on this album, and it has been my jam for the last few days of October, if you'd like to see specific favourites of mine, check out this blog post I posted a few days ago!

What are your October favourites? :)
