Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint | prettylittlewriter

Spring is only a couple of weeks away, and Barry M have released some gorgeous pastel shades just in time for the new season! But not only are they new shades, they are also a new formula!

Introducing the Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint!

I have only purchased two of the shades so far, my favourites out of the collection, 'Full Throttle' and 'In a Heart Beat'. However I will soon be purchasing the rest of the collection when I go shopping after my birthday (which is in 18 days and counting!).

I think these two shades are absolutely gorgeous, 'Full Throttle' reminds me of mangoes and other delicious orange fruits, and 'In a Heart Beat' reminds me of the Yankee Candle Pink Dragonfruit candle!

I have tried out both shades, and can honestly say they do dry much faster than the original Barry M nail paints, however you do need to apply around 3 coats to get an opaque colour.

The collection can be purchased from the official Barry M website, Boots and Superdrug.

Have you purchased any of the shades in the new collection? What are your opinions?

Spring Nails | prettylittlewriter

It is crazy to think that Winter is almost over, but with Valentine's day approaching and February being such a short month, March and the first day of Spring are coming around fast.

One thing I love about Spring is being able to rock pastel shades and knowing Summer is not far out! What better way to wear pastels than using your nails?! Every girl knows their outfit is never complete without a dash of colour on their talons.

So today, I thought I'd share with you my top Barry M nail polishes for the Spring season.

From left to right; Gelly High Shine in Blueberry, Gelly High Shine in Dragon, Gelly High Shine in Sugar Apple, Lemon Ice Cream, Berry Ice Cream and Strawberry Ice Cream.

What are your top Spring nail colours?

Product Review | Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser | prettylittlewriter

This morning I received my online order of the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and I decided to try it out straight away!

The first thing I noticed was how cutely packaged it was!

They sent the products in a small box with foam shapes and a neatly placed Liz Earle envelope on top. Within the envelope was my invoice, a signed note from the lady who packaged my items and a letter from the company addressed to me. The letter acknowledged that this was my first purchase with them and they hoped I found everything to my liking!

Removing the products from the box, the cleanser and muslin cloths were inside a lovely Liz Earle bag (as seen above) and I'd also ordered a strengthening nail polish in the shade Awakening.
Inside the little bag with the Cleanser was a piece of paper with instructions on how to use the product, which I thought was a nice incentive as the bottle doesn't clearly explain how to use it.

Now to what I thought about the product.
I followed the instructions step by step, filling the basin with hot to touch water, then applying the Cleanser to my dry face in circular outward motions. The cleanser came out as a cream-like substance, almost as if applying a moisturiser except that it doesn't blend into your skin. It went on easily and was very gentle on my skin. Then I placed the muslin cloths (which felt crispy) into the water and then wrung it to get rid of the excess water. Then I wiped the cleanser off with the cloth, which came off very easily and left no traces. Finally, after rinsing the cloth and placing it somewhere to air dry, I splashed my face with cool water and then patted my skin dry with a clean towel.

After using this product, my skin feels super soft and clean! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who wants a product which leaves your skin feeling fresh and silky smooth!
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is definitely now my favourite Cleansing product and I will be using it A LOT.

I also painted my nails with the Strengthening Nail Polish I bought. Awakening is a lovely peach/orange colour and glides over nails smoothly and doesn't leave a lot of mess. It also dries really quickly, which is something I am extremely happy with as I always end up smudging my nails as I am quite impatient when it comes to waiting for my nails to dry! I did have to put three coats of the polish on though, as the colour is quite pale so you have to slowly build it up to get the block colour you want.
