July Favourites | prettylittlewriter

August is here, which means July is over, therefore SUMMER IS ALMOST OVER.
Where has the time gone?!

I feel as if these past few months have been a complete whirlwind, the weeks have passed by so fast, and even though I am quite sad that Summer will be over soon, I am extremely ready to enter the Autumn months!
For anyone who knows me or has been following my blog since I started, you will know that Autumn, Halloween and Christmas are my favourite times of the year!

But before I start rambling on about how much I love them, I will get to the point of this blog post, the products I have been loving throughout July!

I was unsure on this product to begin with as I am not a huge fan of the coconut scent, however the aroma only has a slight hint of coconut and smells incredibly sweet. But not only do they smell delicious, the combination of the coconut water and oil turn my hair into silky smooth perfection. I have honestly never had such soft hair from simply using shampoo and conditioner; Ogx have thoroughly impressed me.

The past few months I have mainly been using up my Lush shower gels from the Christmas and Valentine's range, however, I eventually ran out of those and decided to try something that my niece had recommended me. This shower cream seriously smells good enough to eat and spreading this all over your body leaves your skin feeling super soft.

When I first saw this product advertised, I was uncertain of how truthful the reviews were. Surely something you apply for 3 minutes and rinse off in the shower cannot give you a perfect gradual and natural tan. However, I was wrong. This product is something to be incredibly impressed by. After 3 days of application, my skin had a lovely natural glow to it, and after 5 days of application, I arrived at the colour I desired to be. You may think that applying it 5 days in a row is a lot, but when you shower every day anyway, and it only takes 4 minutes (1 minute to apply, 3 minutes to wait then rinse) of your time, it truly is a god send for those who would rather not spend ages waiting for their mousse/spray tans to dry before getting dressed. There is also no worries when it comes to leaving marks on clothes or bedding, it leaves no residue!
I would truly recommend this product to anyone who wishes for a quick and easy tanning experience!

A recent purchase, I have had my eyes on this palette for a long while and managed to get my hands on it a couple of weeks ago and I have been using it ever since. I knew from my Naked 1 palette that they were of great quality, but I absolutely love the shades within this one. My favourites to use at the moment are Burnout, Liar & Mugshot.

In the summer months, I tend not to wear too much make up as it all comes off in the heat anyway, however I always love to have colour on my lips as it gives your skin a bit of a boost. The two I have been reaching for the past month are Brave and Morange. Brave is a nude/pink satin finish which is perfect for a more natural make up look, adding just the right amount of colour to your face. Morange is the shade I reach for when I have a tan (which is never natural as I am so pale!), so whenever I can be bothered to apply fake tan, I like to grab this gorgeous orange shade to add a pop to my make up look!

Now, I always loved my colouring books as a child, and once I grew up and began to believe that colouring in pictures was a childish thing, I stopped and always thought I would not colour in pictures until I have my own child one day. However, when travelling down from my hometown back to Devon, I spotted this absolutely gorgeous adult colouring book in a service station. I had never heard of such things before, but apparently there are quite a few out there now. This caught my eye by the gorgeous patterns and lovely gold shading of the front cover, and when I flicked through it, I saw just how magical and fairytale-esque it was, so I had to have it!
I have only managed to colour a tiny owl inside the book so far, but I cannot wait to start going through it properly!

So there you have it, the products I have been loving throughout the month of July!
