Festive Bedding Must-Haves | prettylittlewriter

Christmas is almost upon us, and what better way to get in the festive spirit by getting snuggled up in some Christmas bedding!

Every year I look forward to seeing what themes certain stores come up with, especially Asda. They are my all time favorite place to shop for bedding, and not just at Christmas!

These are just a few of their incredible sets for 2017!

Cats Duvet & Skiing Duvet

Elf Duvet & Reindeer Duvet
I absolutely adore the cats and the reindeer duvet sets, mainly because they are some of my favorite animals, but they also have that vintage feel!

Another place that does gorgeous bedding, but at a slightly higher price, is Next.
This is one I've spotted in stores and I think it is adorable!

Christmas Bears Duvet
I just love how they all have hats and gloves on, how cute?!

And finally, if you want something a little more mature and sophisticated, I have come across this lovely set from Kaleidoscope.

Foliage Duvet
With robins, holly and mistletoe, it's a much more demure, but still very festive, set of bedding.

I am getting very excited for Christmas, especially getting everyone else's presents together and wrapping them, and I've started with putting my set of Christmas bedding from Asda on the bed(Last years).

If you're looking for something to brighten your bedroom and add a bit of festivity, then look no further than these three stores!

Autumn Decor Wishlist | prettylittlewriter

Autumn is the time of year that really turns a house into a home.
Bringing out the cosy blankets, soft cushions and candlelight, along with snuggly sweaters, cosy socks and hot chocolate. It truly is an incredible season.

In my current situation (living with my boyfriends parents and only having a tiny bedroom to decorate) it is hard to bring Autumn to life in my abode.
However, I thought I would create a little wishlist of items I would love to have in my future home at this time of year!
A lot of the products are from Pottery Barn in the USA, however, they ship internationally at reasonable prices, so you won't miss out!

First up are these absolutely gorgeous pumpkin decorations! I love the design on the orange and white ones, and I think you can pop candles or lights in them! And the silver sparkly ones on the right remind me of Cinderella, and would look absolutely stunning next to a fireplace.

Next up is this gorgeous falling leaves cushion. The design is absolutely stunning, I love the effect of the falling leaves, perfect for Autumn as the leaves fall off the trees in these lovely colours. Also from Pottery Barn.

Then there is the stunning Autumn wreath. I found this through Etsy, and I love that they have incorporated some gold leaves into it, and also entwined them with lights! It looks so cosy and pretty.

This gorgeous tree you may recognise if you are a fan of Zoella; she has this in her home at this time of year and it is frequently seen in her Autumnal videos. I think it is a beautiful item to decorate your home with, I would never have thought to have a tree for Autumn, but I really love this! You can purchase this from Next.

It wouldn't be Autumn without some form of woodland creature, and my favourite at the moment are Foxes. For christmas, I already have a couple of Reindeer statues made from the same material as the fox you see above (Notonthehighstreet.com), but it always makes me sad when I have to put them away after the season is over. Therefore having a fox with no relation to Christmas seems appropriate to have in the home all year round.
The coasters are made from real wood, available from Amazon, and would be a cute addition to any coffee table.

And last but not least are these two items. The pumpkin cushion cover is adorable, perfect for Autumn, especially Halloween, and I love the paint brush effect of the design. The fruit basket on the other hand, can be used all year round, and I love the vintage wheelbarrow shape of it. It's so cute! These are both from Pottery Barn.

So there you have it, my favourite Autumnal decorations that I would love to have in my future home! Have you changed any rooms in your home for the Autumn season? I would love to see!

My Love For October | prettylittlewriter

My favourite month of the entire year has finally arrived!
October to me, is the month I look forward to the most for many reasons.

I thought I'd give you guys a little taste of why I love it so much!

1. The transformation of leaves on trees.
I think the colours that Autumn brings to the leaves are absolutely stunning, it makes going on walks or driving through the countryside so much more beautiful.

2. Pumpkins
I love the appearance of pumpkins, whether that be your standard size or the cute little munchkin ones. I just think they are stunning in their shape, the stalks and overall appearance! And you know it is nearly time for Halloween when they start appearing in supermarkets!

3. Autumn Decor
This time of year for me, is the beginning of decorating your home for the change of seasons. Spring and summer do not really have anything specifically seasonal to add to your home, however, Autumn allows you to decorate with pumpkins, leaves, candles, and anything orange, red and yellow, with a splash of tartan.

4. Getting cosy by the fire
One of the best things about the colder months is being able to wrap up warm in some amazing seasonal clothes, and I especially love being able to wear cosy socks and jumpers and sitting in front of the fire with a nice hot cup of cocoa and a book.

5. Cosy Autumn Blankets
Let's not forget being able to change your duvet up to a higher tog, and adding autumnal blankets to your home decor. I love the colours of the blankets above, and I especially love anything tartan.

6. Candles
And let's not forget the best part about the Autumn/Winter months, bringing out the cosy candles! I love candles at this time of year as they just set such a gorgeous atmosphere, not to mention the delicious scents that come out around Autumn and Winter.

So those are just a few reasons why I love Autumn and October so much.
