Next weekend I am attending a pre-wedding party with the theme of Hollywood/Movie actors/characters. I have chosen to go as Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby as I love the 1920's era for both the fashion and the music (Jazz).
I wanted a practice run as I was not entirely sure how to have my make up and hair, and this is how it turned out!
I'm not happy with the eye make up, I think the wings are too big and not something that would have been done in the 1920's, therefore on the night I will not be doing the same with my eyes.
However, I am extremely happy with the outfit and how my hair turned out, which is why I wanted to share it with you :)
How I created this look:
Make up
- Benefit Gimme Brow in Dark
- Seventeen Trio Eyeshadow in Smoky Quartz
- Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara
- Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
- Loreal Paris Nude Magique CC Cream for Anti-redness
- Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation in Ivory
- Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Peach Glow
- Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Sun Bronze
- Benefit Dandelion Face Powder
- Benefit Lipstick in Fame Game (no longer available)
Hair
To create the hairstyle, I followed the instructions of Youtuber TessChristine123 by watching her how to video for a Flapper Girl Costume which you can find here
The Outfit
- Pearl Necklace
- Satin Gloves
- Headband (no longer available)
- Shoes (now in sale)
The dress I purchased from this Ebay seller. They have a great collection of Flapper/1920's dresses, but this was the one I chose;
