Halloween Playlist | prettylittlewriter


With Halloween fast approaching, I have been listening to A LOT of Halloween music. 
From Michael Jackson to the Backstreet Boys, these songs always get me in the Halloween spirit! 

These are my top five songs for the holiday!

5. This is Halloween - Nightmare Before Christmas


Let's face it, we all know there had to be a Disney song in here, it is me after all. This song completely describes Halloween to a T, and listening to this track always get me in the Halloween spirit. 

4. Feed My Frankenstein - Alice Cooper


There are a lot of Alice Cooper songs that are great for Halloween, but as this one is about a particular monster, and relating to the monster within that we 'feed' (especially at Halloween) it is perfect for this time of year. 
I love how old school it sounds too!

3. Somebody's Watching Me - Rockwell


This song is so creep-tastic! I find this an incredibly fun song to sing and dance to, and really makes me want to party any time I hear it! I also love how it mentions the classic Hitchcock movie, Psycho.

2. Everybody - Backstreet Boys


The video to this song just screams Halloween. It starts out like a horror movie, with the Backstreet Boys turning into Vampires, Werewolves, the Phantom of the Opera, Mummies and Lizard men. It is such a fun video to watch, and I just love the beat. It makes me want to dance!

1. Thriller - Michael Jackson


Now this is the epitome of Halloween music. This classic MJ song is creepy yet fun, it can get anyone up on the dancefloor at a party. The video always used to creep me out, the zombies were pretty scary! With the spooky narrator and MJ's fantastic voice, this song is always at the top of my list for Halloween songs!

Halloween Baking | prettylittlewriter

Halloween is slowly approaching and I wanted to share some awesome baking ideas I've found through Pinterest. 

Halloween is my favourite holiday because I love to be scared! Watching scary movies and dressing up gives me a thrill.

I want to start the celebrations a little early by baking some cool cakes and cookies, so here are the ideas I have found that I am going to be trying out! 






The sandwiches are adorable and I will definitely be doing that with mine from now on!

Once I've gathered all the ingredients I need to make them, I will be posting tutorials on them and showing you all what the final result is, so keep checking back in the next couple of weeks!

However much I love Winter and Christmas, Autumn and Halloween will always beat it thanks to the lovely shades of colour and spooky celebrations that take place.

Florida Vlog | prettylittlewriter

I finally found the time to edit and upload my Florida vlog and I thought I'd share it with you all!

Watching all the clips whilst editing this video made me really appreciate the fact that I have actually been to one of the most magical places in the world one more time. I absolutely adore Disneyworld and I cannot believe that it's all over with once again, and I'm back to my normal life again :(

Apologies for being MIA for so long, as some of you may know (either from reading my blog or knowing me IRL) I have been on holiday to the Sunshine State of Florida! 
During my time there I visited various places, such as Disney's Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios and Seaworld! 

I thought I'd give you a little glimpse into my holiday through some of my favourite pictures! I will be posting more another time, otherwise this blog post is going to be ENORMOUS!

Disney Merchandise | prettylittlewriter

With my trip to Florida rapidly approaching, one thing I am extremely excited for is purchasing A LOT of Disney merchandise.

 I have been browsing both the Hot Topic and the Disney Store websites for some inspiration and ideas on what to purchase and I have spotted some AMAZING THINGS <3

 Firstly I have seen some absolutely adorable decor items and accessories.
From left to right; Beauty and the beast iphone 4/4s case (Hot Topic), Mrs Potts and Chip salt and pepper pots (Hot Topic), Art of Aurora mug (Disneystore), P Sherman Bracelet (Hot Topic), Hamm Piggy Bank (Disneystore), Cogsworth Pop! Figurine (Hot Topic), Mrs Potts and Chip Pop! Figurine (Hot Topic), Beauty and the Beast Rose Pendant (Hot Topic) and Bambi Musical Snow Globe (Disneystore)

 HOW CUTE ARE THE POP! Figurines?!

 Next up are some clothing items! 
From left to right; Olaf Tank Top, Never land Hat, Beauty and the Beast Pumps, Anna and Elsa Tank Top. (All items from Hot Topic)

I think the Never land hat is super cute and I would wear it a lot through the Autumn/Winter months, and those Beauty and the Beast pumps are the prettiest shoes ever.

Obviously I'm not going to be buying all of this, as they may not even have all the items in Hot Topic or the Disney stores, they are simply ideas for when I get there!

I also spotted this; I won't be purchasing it even if they have it in store, but I think it's a super cool idea (who doesn't want to be Ariel?!)

 And lastly are some adorable baby outfits! My Niece is pregnant and will soon be finding out the sex of her little jelly bean (before I go to Florida), therefore I will know which of these outfits (if they have them in store) I can buy for her!

 Personally out of both I prefer the Simba onesie (it's just SO CUTE!) but depending on what she is having I will only be buying one of them :)

 So there you have it; the Disney merchandise I am currently adoring!

Holiday make up essentials | prettylittlewriter

Apologies for the lack of posts in the past week, I've been super busy with work and haven't had the chance to upload anything!

It is just under two weeks until I go to the haven that is Disneyworld in Florida, so I thought I'd give you a little insight into the staple make up products that I will be taking with me!







Products:
Seventeen Eyeshadow Trio in Metallic Coffee (no longer available online)

My favourite item has got to be the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation. With medium coverage, it's not too heavy for the hot weather and with SPF 15, I don't have to worry about getting sunburn on my face!
